Get More Work Out of One Machine
Every time the work changes, a contractor has two choices: bring in another machine or change the tool on the one already there. Changing the tool is usually faster, cheaper and easier on the schedule.
Picture a drainage job. In the morning, an excavator digs the trench with a digging bucket. A grapple goes on next to set pipe and clear debris. A compaction plate packs the backfill, and a grading bucket shapes the finished surface before the crew heads home. That’s four jobs, one machine and zero extra deliveries.
Fewer equipment moves mean less idle time, smaller rental bills and an operator who stays productive through every stage of the project.
Attachments for Excavators, Loaders and More
Excavators and mini excavators: digging and grading buckets, grapples, hydraulic breakers, compaction plates, concrete crushers, steel shears, quick couplers, tilt couplers, tiltrotators and equipment mounted drilling systems
Skid steers and compact track loaders: buckets, pallet forks, augers, trenchers, grapples and sweepers
Wheel loaders: general purpose buckets, pallet forks, grapples and snow pushers
Compact and mini loaders: buckets, forks and augers sized for tight sites, landscaping and interior work
A skid steer with an auger can set fence posts in the morning and unload pallets after lunch. A wheel loader that moves stone all summer can push snow all winter. Same machine, more billable work.

Steelwrist Excavator Attachments
Steelwrist is one of several key attachment manufacturers available through Able Tool. The Swedish company builds quick couplers, tilt couplers, tiltrotators and work tools around a single goal: make the excavator more versatile without replacing it.
Quick couplers: Hydraulic quick couplers let the operator swap compatible tools from the cab. Steelwrist’s fully automatic couplers also connect hydraulic tools without anyone touching a hose.
Tilt couplers: The operator angles the attachment to grade a slope, clean a ditch or work along a roadside without repositioning the whole machine.
Tiltrotators: The tool rotates 360 degrees and tilts up to 45 degrees in either direction, so the operator works around catch basins, foundations and curbs while the excavator stays put.
For utility crews working beside live roadways or in tight lots, that range of motion means fewer machine moves, less ground disturbance and cleaner finish work.
Steelwrist sits alongside other attachment lines Able Tool carries, including Darda, Epiroc, E-Z Drill, Paladin, Bradco, Edge Attachments, CE Attachments, Werk-Brau and Vacuworx. See the full list on the manufacturers page.
More Ways to Put an Excavator to Work
Darda Concrete Crushers and Steel Shears
Darda concrete crushers and steel shear attachments give demolition crews a way to process concrete and steel with the excavator already on site. A crusher can break down reinforced concrete while cutting through rebar, and a steel shear is suited to work such as cutting structural steel, utility pipe and other metal components.
That can be especially useful on demolition jobs where access is limited or where bringing in another dedicated machine adds unnecessary movement and cost.
Epiroc Hydraulic Breaker Attachments
Epiroc hydraulic breakers turn an excavator into a breaking machine for concrete, asphalt and rock. A utility crew that encounters rock in a trench, a paving contractor removing an old section of roadway, or a demolition crew breaking concrete can switch attachments instead of switching carrier machines.
Epiroc offers hydraulic breakers across a wide range of excavator sizes, so the breaker can be matched to both the carrier and the work.
E-Z Drill Equipment Mounted Drills
E-Z Drill is a newer addition to Able Tool’s attachment lineup. Its equipment mounted concrete drilling systems attach to excavators and backhoes and are designed for applications such as road repairs, lane additions, runway work and concrete dowel drilling.
For example, if a backhoe or excavator is already moving from patch to patch on a roadway project, an equipment mounted drill lets that same carrier position the drilling system at each location. Multi drill configurations can drill several holes in one setup, helping crews move through repetitive drilling work efficiently. These drills run on compressed air, so Able Tool can match the drill to the right air compressor too.
Matching the Attachment to the Machine
Not every attachment fits every carrier. Machine weight, coupler type, hydraulic flow and pressure, lifting capacity and the work itself all determine what will perform. A grapple sorting demolition debris has different needs than a compaction plate running trench after trench.
The same applies to hydraulic breakers, crushers, shears and drilling equipment. Carrier size, mounting configuration and hydraulic or pneumatic requirements have to match the tool and the application.
Compatibility matters most with quick couplers, hydraulic attachments and tiltrotators, where the machine, coupler, controls and tool all have to work together. Able Tool’s team confirms the fit based on the carrier machine and the job, not just the attachment size.
Attachment Sales, Rentals, Parts and Service
Need a specialized tool for one phase of a project? Attachment rentals add capability without adding another machine to the fleet. For tools a crew uses every week, buying usually makes more sense, and Able Tool’s team will match the attachment to the equipment and the work.
Whether that means a Steelwrist coupler or tiltrotator, a Darda crusher or shear, an Epiroc hydraulic breaker or E-Z Drill equipment mounted drill, the starting point is the same: the carrier machine and the job it needs to do.
Parts and service for the equipment lines Able Tool represents are available at both locations.
